Ukrainian military intelligence says Russia is expanding its “Russian House” network across Africa as part of a wider influence and recruitment campaign.
The report claims that Moscow plans to open new centers in Nigeria, Senegal, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Togo, Mali, Mozambique, and São Tomé and Príncipe.
The centers promote the Russian language, education, jobs, films, and cultural programs.
Ukraine alleges that some young Africans drawn through these channels later end up in Russian military contracts, drone factories, or combat roles in the war against Ukraine.
